I feel skinnier!

Hmmmmm, not sure how or why bit I feel skinnier.  I’ve been slacking (shocking, I know) on exercising but I lost 1.5 pounds last week.  I looked in the mirror yesterday and my belly is getting those lovely wrinkly looking things it did the last time I lost weight.

I’ve been trying to eat less and have really cut down on my usual late night snacking.  The next step is one that really helped me the last time- using a smaller plate when I eat.  You can only fit so much on it and I don’t let myself get seconds.  You’ll hear me say this again, but I really am amazed at the amount of food we eat compared to the amount we realy need.

Two years ago when I was in the weight loss competitions, my trainer Douglas put me on a meal plan.  I didn’t like a lot of the foods and if a food I had wasn’t on there I usually didn’t eat it.  I was counting calories and there were some days I only had 500 calories and wasn’t hungry at all.  Some of my friends got a little upset with me but I just wasn’t hungry.  I finally got myself up to around 1200 calories a day eating mostly what I was supposed to eat. 

Hopefully I’ll keep feeling, and getting, skinnier!


Small changes


I’ve been trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong in dealing with my Adult ADD and exercising.  I realized while I was pouring a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and whole milk that making little changes will help more than trying to revamp my life in one day.

Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day that’s where my changes will start.  I love omelets and all the little things you can hide in them like fruits and veggies.  A little cheddar is a must and I don’t mind switching to turkey bacon bits.
